Why a comic works as a gift
A personalized comic does two things a card can't: it tells a story only the two of you know, and it shows the person in it. It's a photo album that has a plot. And unlike a custom illustration that takes weeks, a comic drawn from your photos takes minutes, which makes it a realistic last-minute gift that still feels like it took effort.
Anniversary
Write how you met, or a year in three moments. Styles: romance webtoon, love story, watercolor. Print it as a small book; add a handwritten last page.
Proposal
Either retell the proposal as a keepsake, or write the story up to the question and let the final page ask it. Styles: love story, graphic novel. Print and hand it over.
Birthday
Make the birthday person the hero of their year, their job as a superhero origin, the inside jokes as villains. Styles: chibi for cute, superhero for big, slice-of-life for sweet.
Best friend
Ten years of friendship in eight pages: the first day, the worst trip, the thing you always say. Styles: webtoon, slice-of-life, retro pop.
Grandparents
Their story as they tell it, the kitchen, the farm, the letters from abroad. Styles: watercolor, storybook, graphic novel. These print beautifully; large format if you can.
New baby
The first night home, drawn gently. Storybook style makes it something the child reads later.
How to print it
- Download every page at full resolution.
- For a bound book, use any photobook service, one page per sheet, cover first.
- For a frame, print the cover or the best page on matte paper.
- For a card, print page one and write the rest inside.
